  1. Yesterday we delivered the executive proposal for the restoration of Casa Mãe in Lagos, Portugal. (http://www.casa-mae.com/)

Working within the ancient walled city, the project intends to rehabilitate an existing old house along with its vegetable garden and all the irrigation apparatus, using vernacular methods, materials and forms to give sense to a new use.

The idea is to have a talk via FaceTime, on the place of Ribeira das Naus in Lisbon, about working as Landscape Architect! walking along river and showing place, people and site construction (let’s hope it works…)

  4. RIBEIRA DAS NAUS (2nd phase) GOES PUBLIC

Since the 24th April, the old Arsenal Ribeira das Naus remains became a contemporary space experience for public use, joining the Tejo Ramp (1st phase) ‘published’ one year ago.

Our Project (shared with PROAP) is now almost complet!

Going Public, the latest book of Gestalten on Public Space in urban and rural context was published this summer and has an article on GAP’s Bicycle Path.

The book’s compelling selection of formal and informal interventions, reclamations, and architecture illustrates the current scope and interest in refashioning and repurposing our built environment for public use. The objectives of the featured examples are as diverse as the projects themselves and range from inspiring communication and community experience to devising new means of gathering in and connecting to nature.
